This Privacy Policy explains how TickClock ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our service.
Information We Collect
- Account information: Your email address and hashed password when you register.
- Event data: The countdown event names and dates you create.
- Login history: IP address and browser type on each successful login, kept for security.
- Billing: If you upgrade to Pro, Stripe processes your payment. We store Stripe identifiers (such as customer and payment intent IDs) for billing support — we never see your card details.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the countdown service.
- To send account verification and password reset emails.
- To process your subscription via Stripe.
- To detect and prevent abuse.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with:
- Stripe — payment processing (see Stripe's Privacy Policy).
- Your email provider — to deliver transactional emails.
Data Retention & Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. This permanently deletes your account, all events, and all associated data from our systems. Stripe may retain billing records as required by law.
Cookies
We use one session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Security
Passwords are stored as one-way salted hashes using Werkzeug. Tokens (password reset, email verification) are stored as SHA-256 hashes. Connections are encrypted via HTTPS.
